What the work looks like in Mead

Mead sits in the band north of Spokane where the lots get large and the houses stop being tract houses. Plenty of log and timber building out here, much of it from the eighties and nineties and now well past due.

The August 2024 showcase is the most thoroughly documented log restoration on the site, eight photographs deep. The home was heavily weathered. The exterior was blasted clean with glass media, which lifts the dead grey wood and the failed finish without burning the substrate, and then the protection went back on in coats.

Mead is close enough to Spokane that most of the painters quoting against us here are city crews. The difference shows up when a wall turns out to need log repair rather than another coat.

Chewelah Painting did awesome job on our log home and decks a fews ago. We would highly recommend them. The crew were very skilled and considerate.
